Here are examples of lessons I have taught to ages 6 to adult through NEIU CAPE program.

Drawing Animals
and adding Shading

Description of Project: This lesson was taught through CAPE at NEIU. This class was taugh over ZOOM with step by step in struction for students to follow along with. These students where between the ages of 8 and 11. Students learned how to draw from a refrence photo, use gesture lines to help draw porportions, draw texture, and create value in their art.

Two-point Perspective
City Street

Description of Project: This lesson was taught through CAPE at NEIU. This class was taugh over ZOOM with step by step in struction for students to follow along with. These students where between the ages of 8 and 11. Students learned how to draw a city street using two-point perspective. Students practiced using a ruler and guiding their lines to the vanishing points. Students added extra windows, doors, and decorations to their city drawing to make it their own.

Floating Boxes

Description of Project: This lesson was taught through CAPE at NEIU. This class was taugh over ZOOM with step by step in struction for students to follow along with. These students where between the ages of 8 and 11. Students learned how to draw floating boxes using two-point perspective. Students practiced using a ruler and guiding their lines to the vanishing points. Students practiced adding value to their boxes.

Description of Project: This lesson was taught through CAPE at NEIU. This class was taugh over ZOOM with step by step in struction for students to follow along with. These students where between the ages of 8 and 11. Students learned how to draw boxes using two-point perspective. Students learned about how the location of the box combared to the horizon line and vashing points affects how the box appears to the viewer. Students practiced using a ruler and guiding their lines to the vanishing points. Students practiced adding value to their boxes.

One-point Perspective
Endless Hallway

Description of Project: This lesson was taught through CAPE at NEIU. This class was taugh over ZOOM with step by step in struction for students to follow along with. These students where between the ages of 8 and 11. Students learned how to draw a endless hallway using one-point perspective. Students practiced using a ruler and guiding their lines to the vanishing point. Students learned about how objects appear to get smaller the closer it gets to the vanishing point. Students practiced adding value to their drawing and adding details to make it their own.

One-point Perspective
Room Design

Description of Project: This lesson was taught through CAPE at NEIU. This class was taugh over ZOOM with step by step in struction for students to follow along with. These students where between the ages of 8 and 11. Students learned how to draw a bedroom design using one-point perspective. Students practiced using a ruler and guiding their lines to the vanishing point. Students learned about how objects appear to have an angle to them the closer it gets to the vanishing point. Students practiced adding value to their drawing and adding details to make it their own.

Polymer Clay

Description of Project: This lesson was taught through CAPE at NEIU. This class was taugh in person to ages 6 to adult. Students learned about the basics of using polymer clay; such as how to attach the clay, form the clay into basic shapes, and how to add texture. Students learned about the process of making things with the clay and the process on how to cook the clay.

Exquisite Corpse

Description of Project: This lesson was taught through CAPE at NEIU. This class was taugh in person to ages 8 to 11. Students collaborated in making an exquisite corpse drawing together. They practied expressing ideas and having fun with an unplanned outcome.

Painting Panda

Description of Project: This lesson was taught to ages 3 to 8. They learned about creating a background and practiced painting simple shapes to create a panda.
